How well do the wireless fm transmitters work for ipod in the car?

I’m debating whether to buy the wireless transmitter or a corded one. I would prefer the wireless, but only if it’d work just as well if not better. Let me know what you think. I have an ipod touch 2nd generation.

I think you’re better off going with a corded one. It’s easier to use, and you don’t have to worry about signal quality.

If you can’t deal with that one cord, you might be able to find a wireless version of it (using infrared/optical/whatever your USB wireless mouse uses). Bit more expensive than a normal cord, but it’d still work better than your fm transmitter.

FM transmitters do not work too well. They loose signal easily and the sound quality isn’t great. I’d get a transmitter that just plugs straight into your car.

they have to be pretty close to the reciever it would be much better if it had the aux try with the wire but it depends on brand

Personally, I like the cd adapter better. But I think an even clearer way of listening to your tunes would be to have an mp3 jack installed.

It always varies, for the most part it depends on your area. Here where I live they don’t work very good around certain mountains. It also depends on how many empty radio stations are available where you live too.
Personally I would not bother getting one if I were you, unless you are sure the geography in your area is friendly for it.
