Why are text messages from people with verizon still going to my verizon phone even tho we switched to at&t?

Author: I got an iPhone for Christmas. I am receiving messages from people with at&t but if someone who has verizon texts me it still goes to my old verizon phone. HELP!

it’s just because you switched from verizon. if you got it yesterday, then it should be fixed by the latest tomorrow. its just the SIM card switching through to the new networks.
