How do you connect a Samsung Propel to your computer with a USB cable?

Author: Okay…I’ve recently ordered a USB cable for my Samsung Propel A767 and it arrived today. I got it from Amazon for 1 cent, along with one of those mini-disc things to install it. So when it arrived I connected my phone to the computer with the cable and put the disc in. A little box appeared and it is being VERY confusing. Can someone tell me how you are supposed to transfer pictures, videos, and audio from your phone to your computer and viceversa? I need your help! Thanks!
I went to My Computer but my phone doesn’t show up once it’s plugged in:(
on the phone screen it is black with a white and yellow circle that is rotating and it says "Connected" above it. But on my computer it says something like:
Hardware has been plugged in that is malfunctioning and cannot connect right.
Or something like that.
I am so frustrated! But thanks for the one answer anyways…

i think you need to change it to disk mode
to do this, go to settings> 6 connectivity> 2 select USB mode> mass storage
that should work, if not, play around with the other options
the propel is plug and play which means you can throw away that pesky disk.
Also you will just go to my computer and click on your phone and copy and paste your music and stuff into the driver(pic of phone)
